Fiona Stanley Hospital Project

The $1.76 billion project located adjacent to the Murdoch University is to be completed in late 2013 and opening in 2014. It will be the major tertiary health facility servicing the south of Perth and across the state.

Fiona Stanley Hospital is the centre-piece of the state government's renewal of the health system and $5 billion investment infrastructure across WA.

Cays scope for building A includes the supply and installation of approximately 250 tonne of structural steel which includes the following:

  • Facade steelwork supports for the Pathology and Education buildings
  • 2 sets of roof steel for both Education and Pathology buildings
  • Main link bridge between buildings A and B

Cays scope for building B includes the supply and installation of approximately 640 tonne of structural steel steelwork support for the following:

  • Emergency department
  • Oncology shielding plate - 320 tonne
  • Northern allied  canopy
  • Eastern allied canopy
  • Main entry steelwork
  • Porte cochere
  • Paediatric playground roof
  • Heli-pad
  • Emergency department lightbox.

Building E is a relatively smaller building compared to buildings A and B with approximately 24 tonne of steel being supplied. Building E will be the administration building for the entire hospital once complete and comprises of two levels of office area and a plant room at roof level.
